Never Enough

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Aundrea_Townsend]Aundrea Townsend
How do I fix my mouth to part the magic words
the ones that say I'm through even though its hardly true
I want to say "Goodbye" to see if he will run
the doors I sprint through to grab me by my waist, commanding me stop to be sure I stay in place
why don't people try anymore, or am I just insignificant for the wait
I play my part, I know my role, I'm your friend who you constantly told...
"I want you in my life, one day you'll be my wife, and the ones who made you cry will disappear out of your mind."
I believed it, I was open, his words had me shaking the way he spoke them
so confident and guiding, I felt I was equip for the ride then...
I walked outside the door one day greeted by reality,
hit by the truth, the one I thought I trusted showed up with bad news
He instructed me to stay calm, but it's something serious like a China bomb
so I held on to my seat, clueless of the ride
until he spoke the words that haunted me and made me cry the entire time
he said, "go get yourself tested"
I didn't know how to respond, but I knew one thing, the relationship we had was a failed bond
he felt nothing was wrong, like it wasn't that critical,
while I was shaking and crying with hands over my face like it was a problem political
I didn't know how to hold myself together, I didn't know what to expect
but I went to the clinic the next day and cried when I heard what I got...
how could he be so rude to tell me 1 week later,
as I'm trusting and rubbing him as if this thing we had was major
all of a sudden I was short tempered, I yelled aloud in a roar
I covered my face with hatred and sped through the door...
I just wanted him to feel the pain that I was going through,
never would I have thought the life I had would be just a life that I once knew
cause love isn't that strong if your foundation is wrong
clearly I should've never trusted him, but I did it anyways
men are so worthless, well at least that man anyways
never again will I pour out my heart or decide to trust
the time and effort I put in were clearly never enough...
