A Meditative Walk

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Anmol_Gupta]Anmol Gupta
Many a times I have heard that meditation does not mean to be in a state of different positions and doing different kinds of exercises for a definite period of time rather meditation should be your way of living. Your each and every work should be a part of your meditation even your life should be a meditative life. And after so much time I got it now. How can even a simple work like walking be meditative? And the answer to the question is Witnessing. As Osho said, "There is a difference. You watch television, you don't witness it. But, while watching television, if you start witnessing yourself watching television, then there are two processes going on: you are watching television, and something within you is witnessing the process of watching television. Witnessing is deeper, far deeper. It is not equivalent to watching. Watching is superficial.
So remember that meditation is witnessing."
It happened on a night that I started witnessing and then I got this poem.
So silent is the moon
So silent the sky
And in the utter silence
A poem is going by...
As I go on
My mind entered
The silence is gone
And the thoughts come on.
I let them be
As they are
They come and and go
Some near some far...
I was lost in them
I called the sky
The sky called me
And after some minutes with them
They got lost in me...
Now I was there
And they were not
As I got lost
The god appeared...
Now god was i
And god was the creation
I got the glimpse
And my life got a mission...
Only in the silence of world
I could find the right words
Which led me to the truth
And transformed my life
To blessings from curse...
Many of you may think that I have written utter non-sense but it is not. When, for the first time, you see a place filled with mountains, valleys and clouds, you got awestruck by the beauty but when you start living in such places then the beauty of the scenery get lost with time. The same happens with the sunrise, sunset, rainbows, moonlight. All these eternal beautiful things have lost their beauty in our lives because they have become a memory. And when you try to look at these things like you are watching them for the very first time in your life then only you will be able to connect with this poem and then you will get the meaning of it.
